Recommend me some lesser known rpgs pf any subgenre. Played almost all of the well to somewhat known games (especially CRPGs)
Prefer something that has a decent story/characters and I prefer party based over solo, but anything works.
Ok with dungeon crawling blobbers too

How lesser known are we talking about? Have you played Betrayal at Krondor?

I started Black Geyser a few nights ago. I'm not very far, around the second half of part one doing sidequests while I work my way to the Espen Estate.

I assume you never handheld/console exclusives, then?
Try fire emblems and some shin megami tensei titles. If you know about SMT, when try the spinoff java ones like last bible etc. Here's a short of list of the stuff I remember, since I pirate them there's no steam owned games page I could check and recommend.
Balrum
Cogmind (technically not an rpg)
Barony (again, not an rpg)
Fates of ort
Chained echoes (kind of popular)
Beloved rapture
Hero's hour
Comic star heroine

>Drakensang: The Dark Eye>Drakensang: The River of Time
Basically, NWN2/DAO at home. Have much better graphics (art direction) than both, not nearly as janky than NWN2, but with less build variety and more stat autism. Incredibly comfy and charming. The River of Time is greatly improved compared to the first game, so it's a better option if you're not sure where to start. Though it's also a prequel that shows a good number of characters from The Dark Eye when they were younger, which won't have the same effect if you haven't played the first game.

I've recently discovered a 1990 Dos and Amiga dilogy of blobbers called "Captive". A bit simple, but is nevertheless a cool game. You play as a falsely imprisoned man locked in a cell, forced to use a computer briefcase to guide a group of robots stuck somewhere in space to find you. I've only gotten to the 3rd planet so far on the DOS version, but the game's really fun to poke around and discover things for yourself.

Knights of the Chalice 1 & 2
I prefer the first one since it's more focused & less ugly, but both are very good.

There's a game that looks like bg2 but plays in Spain. Lionheart or so. Early 2000s iirc. Swordhaven is another bg1 ripoff, it's literally called iron conspiracy.
