I honestly think this is what most JRPGs have been, and what they should have always been.
>a "simple" story with cinematic moments and a good twist
>Attractive, likeable characters
>30-40 hours duration, not too short and not too long
>good orchestral music
>mostly linear with an overworld
In the end, the gameplay doesn't even matter that much, it's just good enough. But the cinematics are really well directed and the voice acting is stellar, which has more impact imo.
