I'm not a dungeon crawler aficionado, like I've never played Etrian Odyssey, but I just spent about 2 days playing THYSIASTERY and I have no idea how you're even feasibly supposed to beat it. I've gotten to the last biome multiple times, but then enemies start having modifiers that reflect damage back to you or something, and both healing and MP recovery items are insanely scarce. I even had a run where I was like "this is it, I'm finally going to beat it", but I ran into one of those things that reflect damage back to you, and it was just totally over. I eventually got on a run where I had Analyze, so I scanned the thing that reflects damage, and it has "Cursed Aura" which just straight up reflects 1/3rd of the damage back to you, and that's been the run ender every time I think I might have a good run. I feel like this specific trait is very poorly balanced, because he's not just sitting there being a good boy either, he's also
attacking.I really like the atmosphere of this game. The monsters are all cool designs, and both the ambient dungeon music and the boss fight music is way better than I expected from a game that was probably pretty cheaply made.(pic of the monster, from some random Japanese YouTube video)
