It's actually what milestone games both Underworlds were. There's so much of them in modern gaming DNA without even realizing. Or rather via System Shock and Deus Ex.

Underworld 1 is a better game even if 2 does some things better. The Goblin world feels like something straight out of Deus Ex almost a decade earlier.

Is there a QRD on how to get into and enjoy Ultimate games?
I've tried a few of them but always given up like 10-20 minutes in, because it doesn't tell you how to do anything, the UI and controls are unintuitive (an affect of its time) and all that.
I want to experience the whole series - or at least the good installments.
Please tell me how do be do do I do do?

U5 is far and away the best in the main series. The UU games are also wonderful. Never played the Martian game or the dinosaur game.
