I dropped that shit in act 2. Act 1 is genuinely the best opening act of any game I've ever played. The game falls off a fucking cliff immediately after. Donkey Kong barrel placement simulator ass game which every encounter being a SURPRISE COCKFAG moment where 8 more enemies appear from thin air the second combat starts.

Dropped it in Act I didn't even finish the Alexander fight the games mechanics pissed me off.
>cluster tight areas that have mobs constantly spam AOE attacks on you as soon as combat starts
>Potions and Healing items are not farmable at all
>Combat didn't feel very rewarding either.
>XP heavily dependent on questing of which said questing is tiered of which one you should do first
Glad everyone pointed out Act 3 was trash so I didn't sink more time into it.

The entire game sucks. It's Larian. Everyone familiar with or fond of crpgs has thoroughly understood that DOS2 fucking sucks. It's not a new or controversial thing. It's just been known and understood since the game came out. Larian sucks as a developer, their writing is fucking garbage, their games are sloppy messes of incomplete and amateurish game mechanics, DOS2 fucking sucks. That's just there. It's just true. DOS2 fucking sucks.
The correct thing to do is to not reward Larian with money or attention.

I can't believe how bad armor system in this game really is, the game itself really suffers because of it.I did not manage to beat even act I with the default armor system, but when modded out (Divinity Unleashed), i really enjoyed the game (beat it twice). Shows how a single major aspect of the game can drag it down.

Just reached Act 3 in DOS2. It really is a reaction to every criticism about DOS1.
The armor system? It was so that you can't simply CC everyone on your first turn.
The round robin-like combat that turned Wits kind of useless except for crits? It's so you can't make all your party members kill everything on your turn.
The dark edgy story? It's because everyone said that 1's story was too whimsical.Like, fuck, man. We had a bit of sad stories in DOS1, but 2 really did some shit like lobotomized dogs and humans, cleansing the people of source by force, concentration camps, making deals with demons, etc.
