Thank you for having the courage to say it. I grew up on skyrim and oblivion, and I tried to go back to morrowind and daggerfall. I really tried. Spent hours, days even, planning ahead, preparing a literal level tracker to efficiently level my guy, and just couldn't be bothered with it anymore. Gave up around level 12. Truth is the games weren't fun. And I honestly think it's appearance of the games: morrowind is brown and ashy af, and daggerfall dungeons all literally look the same pixelated labyrinth. I got unity and openmw, and think about giving them another chance over and over every now and then, but can't.And you know? That's fine! We all don't have to love the same games. I will admit, as a skybaby, I thought oblivion was lame in terms of no kill cams and oil painting style graphics, not to mention the derpy character designs. But I kept giving it a chance until I finally loved it.Yes, I used the 100% Chameleon glitch, and the quicksave level up glitch to max my character's level without leveling every skill! Why? Cause I wanted to have fun!! That's what you do in video games!!! Hell, even in my current skyrim playthrough, I decided to just use the restoration potion glitch for the first time so I can feel unstoppable. Of course it's overpowered, and that's the point:
The Chameleon glitch made oblivions combat fun to do away with its poor leveling, just as the intelligence potion glitch is needed for morrowind to be fun.Skyrim didn't need the resto pot glitch to be fun imo, but it sure made it the power fantasy we all really want. If we wanted a challenge, we'll just play Dark souls.I leave you all with this challenge: find me a morrowind fan who ISN'T abusing the intelligence potion glitch to make the game fun. I'll wait.
