Ryncol strikes me as ranking pretty high in the tier list of all known RPG hardcore alcoholic beverages, the go-to drink when it comes to separating the men from the pussies. For those of you unfamiliar with the mixology Lore of Mass Effect, I'll share the recipe for brewing homemade ryncol cocktails:
>2 ounces of high proof (175 or above) wasabi-flavored vodka
>2 ounces of high proof (175 or above) tobacco-flavored vodka
>3 ounces of low proof (40 or above) melon liqueur
>1 ounce of blue mid proof (90 or above) blue curacao
>1 ounce of lime juice
>2 drops of Salarian salination solution
>3 dashes of orange bitters
>1 coarsely grinded ghost pepper
>5 ounces of coarsely grinded (highly radioactive) bullet-proof glass
>90mg of caffeine
>1 miniature bottle of tabasco sauce
>1 dash of blue sanding sugar
>1 dash of blue popping candy
>Corn syrup (optional)
>3 spoons of honey
>Served warm at nearly-lethal temperatures (180 degrees Fahrenheit or above)
Why the hell are Commander Shepard and Urdnot Wrex so obsessed with drinking this toxic garbage? Aren't they worried about the cancer warning label legally required by Citadel Law to be printed on every ryncol bottle? Do these retards even read the warning label? They'd be way better off just getting drunk wisely the normal way by drinking liquefied Turians, uncut Batarian ales and the like. The ryncol Shepard drinks, ironically enough, is a more dangerous health hazard than 90% of the space marine missions he completes for his job. In-theory I'd feel safer attempting to kill a Thresher Maw on foot than attempting to kill a bottle of ryncol

Alcoholic drinks don't have different effects (despite what gringas say about tequila) so the only difference is flavor and we can't know what fictional drinks taste like so it's pointless to discuss.

Did aliens not have culture before humanity? But seriously, I wish sci-fi authors when they want to include something new like "gloopzorp" crystals they don't just cop-out but play it straight. That's all they have to do, not lore-dump 100000 things and play it straight.
