(cont.) Considering their age, kokiri stay young for a long time till it is time for them to transform. They don't age. They also do not get born; they are formed or transformed. There is no aging.
Helians are however born, but being elves essentially they too stay young for along time. That said, they also seem to age up fast. Imagine ganondorf waiting 10 years for the temple of time thing, very odd.
Saria knew she was picked to guard the forest temple and become a sage even in the child period. She would often stay in that place. Mido was tasked with guarding the dekutree, so despite having a crush on Saria they weren't allowed to move and speak and such. The skull kid is a lost child that doesn't know the way around in the forest. Zelda got rid of Link after she took from him the Ocarina of Time. She also got rid of the triforce piece link had with it, and of Navi from the adult time period. Actually Navi disappeared; she's missing in the child timeperiod after the ending. -- Sending link back also got rid of the Master Sword in the Adult period, so the evil baning blade that was used to seal the golden land is missing there.
Whatever happened next, no clue, but Zelda had access to an incomplete triforce, and with one piece she can create light arrows and cause time events with the ocarina + can transform and seemingly teleport. idk how she got captured; the lore is dumb. The kokiri forest doesn't want link anymore because he left, so he was back, without a sword, homeless and unknown. No longer blessed by the forest, he would get lost in the forest himself. Although child zelda gave him the ocarina of time, without a fairy.. anyway majoras mask happened and after that no clue.A more interesting question is... who is Navi. Navi is the only white fairy that has a personality and not a part of the forest. She was called upon by the deku tree; "it was time". Likely, Navi is Link's mother transformed, although that is a theory.
