Good parts
>environment art is great
>summons are cool
>music is breddy good
>Karis is hot
>it's kind of cool starting from level 1 and ending up with a party the size and power of Lost Age's endgame in one game
Bad parts
>schizophrenic difficulty
>points of no return
>plot is retarded
>despite having a retarded plot, the characters will not shut up
>psynergy puzzles are mostly pretty barebones
>hey remember that plot we set up in the early game before getting distracted by a fetch quest for 20 hours? Buy the sequel we're never going to make so you can experience the plot you thought you'd be getting with this game :^)
It's not irredeemable trash, but it's inferior in most ways to the two games that came before it.

... I am personally offended that image does not include Rief who is a core character of the story along with those three. Especially in a genre so burdened by rigid gender roles resulting in an absence of nerdy male mage heroes. The entire "girls are healers and mages, boys are warriors" trope has such a death grip on everything anime-styled. Fuck knows Golden Sun participates in the cliché more often than not.So why omit Rief? Why?? It'd be like doing a splash art of Mother 2 without Jeff.
