Pic related is Rape Revolution Monster Army it Goes. Pros: a TRPG in RPGMaker, unique artstyle for male characters, very artsy and disgusting too often (how artsy). OST has some real bangers, one hub area has "I'm a real nigga, Ima real nigga, Chin-chin, bang-bang" blaring as your protag goes through it. It tells something about life and social problems (protag is a knight framed for a murder of a really ugly king so he decides to fuck shit up with an army of oppressed monster revolutionaries). Cons: all girls are drawn like STICKS and all/most of the H-scenes are with ugly monsters fucks instead of cute monster fucks.
LonaRPG: a rape simulator, a Dark Souls of rape or even Rape of Dark Souls. You either get raped or you get fucked. A real time action RPG full of complex RPG and gameplay mechanics put in place to maximize your chances of being raped. Cons: too much rape, female heroine,.
Megrim games: cool and solid gameplay, unique artstyle. The guy isn't afraid to experiment and push boundaries (or do some slightly advanced stuff others don't bother with). Cons: artstyle and seggs can become too much hit-or-miss as the dev evolves and experiments (even for me). And a literal hag? Megrim, stop.
Monster Musume Paradox RPGs or whatever: didn't play but I did play the 1st Monmusu game and heard some good things about these. Cons that I know of: a human Sphinx descendant is mutated into a fucking boring ass succubus. Come on. It's all femdom, too, I am sure.
Last Sovereign: westerndev with stock RPGMaker assets galore, the story seemed interesting from what I've played. Gameplay might evolve but starts off as a typical RPGMaker stuff.
Fear & Hunger 1-2: Dark Souls of Rape. but non-porn edition. The dev also experiments with what RPGmaker is capable of. Cons: might get too disgusting.
Osanagoroconokimini games: dev ready to experiment and push the boundaries, including how much copypaste he can get away with.

4 hours if you rush on first go, 5.5 to 6 hours if you're thorough and reload older saves to see what you might've missed in alternative choices.
Extremely unique and effective OST and art direction.
Plot is Kingdom Come Deliverance (setting) meets Stranger Things horror (plot) which is... gripping and hard to predict.
Challenge is pretty good but very doable.
Expect to be engaged with reading the dialogue; it wasn't neglected. On the other hand, it has a few glaring proof reading errors and misspellings.
It has a strong bit of charm.

There's one I've been looking for on and off for years. I believe it was an older rpgmaker, maybe XP or 2003. The distinct thing about it was every character spoke with big words. The whole game felt like every piece of dialogue was written with an open thesaurus. Even the NPCs commented on how verbose everyone was. The game was never a big hit so its hard to find anyone even talking about it anymore.

Pardon if this is in the correct place but given how the RPGMaker Dev thread is on Page 10, rather just bump this thread.
Anyone know a good way to turn off the force text slowdown when typing ellipses/"..." in RPGmaker MV/MZ. That's actually ungodly annoying and rather the game just show it normally. If I want a beat panel I would do it myself.

B. B. Rider got a translation this year.
The combat system sucks. The story's slow at first, but the protag's fun enough it's hard to hate it just because of him. It's very 2000s anime when it tries and fails to be funny, but the ending's one of the most impactful I've played through. The art was all done by the guy who made it back in the 2000s, and while it's rough, it's got enough soul to it that I like it. Also, it somehow has vocal opening and ending themes despite being a 2000s RPGM game.

Several years ago I read or watched something about a guy who makes quirky rpgmaker games. I forgot the title but the premise of the game was your older sibling is like a guild leader of an mmorpg and he left his computer midway before the guild was gonna start start a raid. You control like 50 to maybe 100ish people in your party and there might have been only like a singular fight. I'm pretty sure the dev was japanese. If anybody has an idea of what Im talking about it'd be cool to find it again.

This channel's got playthroughs of newer versions of Motarou's Dogma series that don't seem to be available anywhere, although Motarou's blog (on internet archive) does mention them. I'm hoping they aren't completely lost, since at least this version of Dogma no Hakoniwa seems like it could be much better than the original that got archived with the VIPRPG games.

Years ago I found this huge list of the most popular royalty free/custom soundtracks, many of them also being from what 2ch and nico nico consider some of the most most popular, classic rpgm and doujin game titles.
About roughly half the rpgm games games on this list are already translated but I think it's worth taking a look into what could be more potentially cult classics that may have been over looked.
‚3‚¢‚Í‚ÄHOSPITAL, Knight Night, BREAKER, PIERROT+, Divided Girl and Almagest -Overture- really seem worth translating IMHO.

I asked this on /wsr/ but I'll ask here too: Could you guys recommend me some (good) games made with RPG Maker 2000 that specifically use the default turn-based combat system included in the engine? I wanna see how far one can push the default battle sys. The only ones I know of so far are Ruina, 7th Stand User, Towelket and Funamusea's games (thought in the latter two combat is really anecdotical). There's gotta be more.
Please don't recommend me games with custom battle systems or 2k3 ATB games, it's not what I'm looking for.
