Was there ever a mobile game you REALLY liked that was discontinued and rendered completely unplayable? For example, it can't function at all without connecting to a server which no longer exists.

Android games have some really strange availability issues. Most games become unavailable once their API (whatever that is) is no longer valid or whatever. Many devs update their old games on yearly basis for that API thing.
>some games got delisted but I can reinstall them just fine (for now at least). For instance: I bought Inbento before it before it became a Crunchyroll exclusive, or the demo of Rotoforce I once grabbed still installs no problem
>some games can't be reinstalled after removal: I can't no longer reinstall Militia or Warfare Inc., I even removed Bunibon just now to see if I can get it back - I can't
>delisted paid games seem to be fine, but I avoid deleting my favorite dead games like Solar Settlers, just in case

I had a blast with final fantasy brave exvius until they added neo visions. 7* units were already greedy but neo visions literally killed the game for me. I wish there was a playable offline version

Yugioh BAM Pocket can still be played single-player since there's a few people who have shared their personal game data (which includes the progress too). But, it's kind of pointless not being able to measure dicks with your friends.

>DeadByDaylight MobileI fkn hate that they did this, I even put some money in it thinking that they wouldn't kill it.I think that its possible to make all of these games work without needing "game servers"(you could just create your own server to play with your friends), the developers can do it.But probably because of the money and copyrights they prefer to just shut it down, the only hope I have is for some hacker mod the game to work without internet, its quite a hard work(even if you got the source code leaked, 100× times hard if you need to reverse engineer it), but not totally impossible, just that I don't think they can do it alone.

There are some but I don't remember their names. One of them was an obscure Japanese gatcha game that was a combination of Puzzle&Dragons and Puzzle Bobble featuring giant women. Its translation was goofy (it was probably translated in Japan) but still I prefer goofy translations over butchered localizations. Gameplay wise it was great and with delicious waifus. But unfortunately nobody played it and as a result it rarely got updates and as a result it died quickly.

There's nothing that prevents mobile games from being preserved too, it has already been done in some EoS'd games like Destiny's Child where they patched the game and gave each user a code that launched into what their account had.

yes it was essentially a mountand blade demake with unique gold to stat rpg mechanics, it doesnt exist anymore i tried looking it up couldnt find it. no p2w no micro transactions, the dev was japanese and he did a good job at translation and even managing to make progression fun, there wasnt an end game it was just conqure all the territory and get an army going, the fighting was actually p resonsive but like auto and kite, there wasnt a whole lot of different maps but it was understandable, played it back in like 2016

Tagatame no Alchemist basically Final Fantasy Tactics with energy/stamina that recharges 1 unit per minute, so it gives you the freedom to do as you please and gave generic character shard, generic weapon shard, etc. so you just needed to pull for 1 collab unit and it wouldn't turn into a doll for display, the game was very generous with the generic shards as well, you could spend freemium currency on a specific gacha to get even more freemium currency guaranteed suck it PGR

Photokatsu definitely.I learned about it too late but the songs were fire and my girl Sakura got a second PR.Other than that,the Yuuki Yuuna mobage.Objectively it wasn't that good but I got invested in the plot.it got a console port at least.Magia Record,it was a mess but it had cool ideas.

Servers shut down 1.5 years ago but devs said "clash mini is not dead and will comeback as a game mode in clash royale" which they did actually implement but its so different that I can't name a single this that this new game mode has in common with clash mini

War Pirates. it was this shitty little naval/pirate themed autobattler published by Sega a decade ago, but I loved the character designs and aesthetic.Brave Frontier and Alchemist Code, which were Gumi's precursors to FF Brave Exvius and FF War of the Visions, respectively. I especially liked Alchemist Code and was devastated when it EoS'dAnd of course, Dragalia Lost, which was probably my favorite mobilegarbage I ever played, and I stopped playing gachas entirely after that EoS'd because I couldn't take it anymore.
