I was playing through and reading/enjoying the story all the way up until I think it was the end of 1.0? It was the part we were going through china and fucking around with the sprinklers to stop the jade disease thing.
Then chapter 6 and 7 I kind of just blasted through while skipping because I really wanted the puppet girl's sig before the vulcan event went away.Was the ch6 and 7 good and worth going back to read and enjoy? I honestly didn't give a fuck about the 1.1 villain dude he seemed like an asshole. And puppet girl didn't show up at all, but azi and xin and ming a cute and I saw them a lot during it. And Li Chi is okay
It sounds like the new 1.2 stuff will be a fresh slate in a new era/location.

Gacha writing tends to be shit and hearing someone talk like a country bumpkin while trying to do repairs didn't give me much confidence. What went so wrong?There are parts of Black Beacon that are very nice. But there are others that are either ineffectual (copy-paste bullshit from other gachas) or downright abysmal that drag down the entire experience. Lack of a PC client and CN trying to kek global spiraling into a bad reputation are the main culprits. Not translating shit and not including JP voice acting for any of the newer characters only caused unrest.If they tried to be more of their own thing instead of copying others I think the game would have found more success. The stage design and the template for content is stale. It should have been a Diablo gacha.
