This is more of a general statement than a response to that post but I really don't mind a little whaling in this. I don't go buying OP or anything but I used to pick up the occasional pack on top of the monthly card since I was aware that it was keeping me from spending money on other shit. It would be one thing if I were looking at it in a vacuum or if the gacha were as greedy as the average Mihoyo game, but with it being fairly generous, it getting regular substantial content updates, and it not requiring any attention to grind/farm it finally helped me quit playing MMOs (so far) for good and kept me from wasting my time and occasionally money on random games I didn't really care that much about. It's been a great novelty drip feed and since I started playing it's probably saved me way more money on random bullshit entertainment than I would've spent otherwise.

Is anyone playing on CN who could confirm something about the base QoL changes for me?
I just saw picrel showing that timers until fully rested are no longer shown in operator assignment. I've seen video showing that timers until zero morale are shown if you tap a working facility in the overview screen, so does it show everyone's timers until full if you select a dorm in overview in the same way?
I couldn't find a shot of that in any video about the updates and I'm trying to figure out how this affects me. I set timers for my daily base rotation based on those, so either it's visible by operator on the overview and streamlines setting timers a little, or it's gone and I should pay attention to how long they are. The latter isn't the end of the world since they're usually consistent within a few minutes but it would be nice not to have to commit the average to memory to stay accurate.

There's something extremely comfy about getting events like Hortus or this during December.
The gimmicks are easygoing and quite pleasant to mess around, the music and the vibe hit the right spot and 6* males with funcore kits.
All while it's nice outside and I have all the day to enjoy myself with the game.
Too bad both are quite short, I still have to start RA2 and couldn't care less about Pepe and co.

How do you guys like IS5? I think it's pretty fun. I know it doesn't really count since I took Wis'adel as a starter, but I'm still pretty shocked that I got a clear on my first attempt going in totally blind. Maybe I just got lucky in what stages and midboss I got, but it feels to me like it's way more flexible in who you take, while in IS4 I think I eventually came to regret it on any run where I didn't have Reed Alter either as a starter or as a fairly early build.
Who are you using for starters? I'd rather leave Wis'adel benched so I'm not just letting one op carry everything but there must be some really strong picks since free 4* and cheaper 5* ops opens it up so much.

Finally I got all the medals from Jess's event rerun.
Couldn't get all of them since Flint was beyond terrifying.
All I needed is Ulpian, Lumen, Eyja Alter and Shu to keep healing the hell out of Ulpian and to un-stun him.
Ascalon also helped by hitting the heat generators. Also managed to get the trimmed version of the medal for beating him in both his phases. And each one I defeated while he was under the effects of the heat.

That's a recent addition from whenever they updated base stuff. It shows when you have all skills on a support op at m3. So in picrel Canta/Jaye/Rafaela are m6, both Virtuosas and the first Wis'adel are m9.
And yeah, you can switch skills and modules on any operator as of the same patch. It was a godsend because I didn't have the 4-block module on my Hoshi or Nian and desperately wanted it for a couple stages last event.

I don't think I'm going to bother with this event's medal set. Bastion defense is cool but a little samey, I fucking hate everything about positional football, and regular events are fun but my emulator keeps crashing when I get randomly matched into one that I don't already have three merits for. I've almost got the skin and none of the other rewards are really worth the grind.
I appreciate Hypergryph's creativity, and at least this isn't complete shit like Stronghold Protocol was, but I wonder what they could have done if they had spent more time playing to their strengths and less time making alternate game modes that don't measure up.to the core game (or to old CC, fuck you Pinch-Out).

Pramanix has one of those gimmicks that sounds broken on paper but probably isn't that useful or good in practice.The ice has an hp bar and I'd wager it takes time to refresh. So in the places where you'd most value leveraging turning the goals into tanks that can block enemies like high risk cc won't work that well because the types of enemies you'd want to stall will kill the blocks in one or two attacks and leak.
Silverash looks interesting but I think we'll have to wait and see what he does in practice. could be the most op bullshit ever or he could be kind of mid, I could see him ending up either way right now.

I went for spectre when I started last year then ended up never using her lol. warfarin and ptilopsis are the best longer term investments, lappland's a cheatcode when silence comes into play too and she's peak kino.

Yeah, I'd go Lappy. She punches way above her weight. I rarely bother with Spectre even though the Abyssal Hunters are my most heavily built gimmick team.

ohayo nihahrecently due to endfield wave i watched an arknights anime and felt quite nostalgic about how i've had played arknights before and enjoyed it quite a lot
due to different shid i had to take care of i dropped the game and didnt come back since, also lost my account so no sex with lapplandwhat is the general state of the game now? is it as good as it was couple of years ago? in terms of engagement, would you say this game requires a lot of time and effort or could do as a side mobage?ngl, im gonna try endfield but i wanna try getting back to good ol arknights too but im afraid i will get too overwhelmed
