Made it to Luna! Never thought I'd see this place for myself. Reaching this beautifully frozen rock was a feat only for the most obscenely committed players back in the day, something spoken on in hushed tones by Level 30s and 40s as Level 90s and 100s walked past them in glowing armor.A few of us lucked into joining some of the grinding parties via the Party Finder tool, invaluable from Kenji Beach and onward. Even a small party is better than going it alone in this title. That said, putting up with the local population while in said parties can prove trying. The obvious language barrier is an issue, albeit one solved through translation sites (or just knowing Filipino as a first/second language yourself)... But the real galling thing is their propensity to join in, roll up, and immediately go afk seemingly in perpetuity, blatantly leaching on full display with absolutely zero shame or self-awareness. At least having a clanmate or two along for the ride provides a nice outlet for venting together, and assures /some/ of us in the group are actually carrying our weight. If any of you 'lot have ever had to step away from a grind-session before, you can take solace in knowing however-long you've spent pales in comparison to a startling amount of natives on this game's official server.

Man, the combat in this is becoming mindless and the leveling experience eventually just devolves into grinding the same mobs for hours on end with obnoxious seanigs who both constantly afk, AND try to police you at the same time. Party level limits are a huge mistake in a title that heavily encourages you to group. Can't even join up with most anons because they're either too low or too high. I'm tired boss.

The game is very unfun, and as usual, everyone has already leveled too far ahead. We NEED some kind of play-time schedule. We need to establish times to be online to play together - maybe different groups for different time-zones. Otherwise this is all pointless if we can't play together - which is supposed to be the point of the project: to play odd MMOs alongside each other, instead of as singleplayer games, all alone, with only the occasional message in guild chat. I don't see this project keeping people, and I'm SURE that the next game will destroy any chance of this turning around. The next game IS going to be the last nail.

Whoops, totally missed blogposting earlier this morning. Haven't too terribly much time to spare before heading off to work, so let's make these fairly quick, eh?The second floor of Luna's Forgotten Temple can provide incredible EXP with the right group, but even just getting there is an ordeal in and of itself, navigating both the first and second floors' winding corridors and teleporter exits. Plus, the sheer volume of monsters blocking your path necessitates some deft movement whilst driving through the halls. Still, if you /are/ able to survive the trip (and the party you're landing in has a well-geared Knight able to handle the deluge of monsters), it's well worth the expedition. Just be sure to bring your sunglasses.

The two Sikuku Ruins delivery quests will be something anyone who reaches Level 120 will become well-accustomed to running. Outside of looping Pincer Claw and Pollen Seed turn-ins, the treacherous trek to the heart of the Eldeon jungle is among the best EXP/hr you'll find all the way 'til at least level 140-145 or so, and can be done entirely solo.Through complete happenstance in coming across some of the natives while on the route, notable insight from Stunlocked, as well as some choice experimentation of my own, I've come up with a route which is exponentially faster AND safer than the clearly-intended method. Not all skips are met (there's one in Xita Refuge which is too inconsistent for the timesave in my opinion), and the example shown here isn't a perfect run. But if you're okay with some serious chicanery for the sake of optimization, take a gander at the recording below:https://files.catbox.moe/x4ncok.webmAnd yes, lowering your FPS to 15 and spamming all of your direction keys to wiggle your way up the final wall-climb is indeed necessary. The headcount here in this single screenshot alone trumps the total populations of most private servers we play on for other titles. Breezie Hills this late? Yep! Myself and another Anon decided to level a pairing of alts up, to see what life is like in another classes' oversized shoes. Not entirely from our own effort alone, of course, as this seemed like a good opportunity to put my Cleric's respective Salamander Flame summons (and miscellaneous buffs) to good use as well. Much as I am loathe to enjoy the act of multiboxing, having my healer act as a solid safety net throughout the earliest goings felt like the least-egregious way of experiencing this side of the title. Another 800 Valor in the bank...!From personal experience, a typical """10/10""" player party at Xita Refuge (which is really a 3/10 or 4/10 player party, let's be real here) takes about ~50-60 minutes to farm-out ~400 Valor, which equates to one Plutostone via the materials vendor in Junon Polis. Plutostone orders at Player Shops go for around ~4mil each, and are directly sold from said Player Shop at about ~5mil each. As such, at current market prices after conversions, 1 Valor equals roughly ~10,000-12,250 Zulie, depending on whether you're filling requested orders of Plutorunes (or even Blank Scrolls) to existing Player Shops, or attempting to sell them directly with your own Player Shop for a ~20-22.5% upcharge.All of this is fine and good, and I'm sure it's expected for anyone truly becoming invested in this server to farm-out Valor for however-many weeks straight, establish a solid base of Zulie to work with, gear-up a Bourg alt appropriately, and eventually "graduate" to multiboxing a Cleric/Bourg or Knight/Bourg setup at Sikuku Prison for further (presumably more lucrative) income... Except I've long had trouble weighing the prospect of goldfarming with as much importance as leveling in these titles. To me, spending ~3-4 hours a night gradually building your coffers at the expense of everything else just doesn't hit nearly as hard as progressing your level, seeing more of the realm throughout the climb and unlocking more of your classes' kit all the while.Plus, it's not as if we'll be here for much longer anyway. Were I planning on sticking around, sure, Valor farming for however-long would be an unavoidable part of the experience. But with two nights left to go before it's lights-out for us, sticking to Xita feels a bit silly. Still suggest anyone who's made it to Eldeon partake in at least a bit of Valor farming to score the coin for your 145/160 sets, as it IS decent money for the level range, so long as your patience lasts.

Got to 112 and I think that's as far as I will make it, the bear grinding wasn't bad at all, but the penguin grind was such a pain in the ass that it completely took all the motivation out of me. By allah will someone smite these AFK SEA dogs.As far as the overall game goes, I think it was decent enough for a KMMO when we were all in the big group together, only as the level gaps extended did the experience start to feel worse.

Another photoshoot done and dusted...!This one is somewhat small compared to our previous work, only clocking-in at just SEVEN (7) photos for this go-around. As we had a rather wide range of character levels to consider, much of what's here once again takes place on Junon, with just a smidgen of Luna and Eldeon towards the end. Junon is easily the most recognizable of the four planets featured in this title, albeit perhaps not the most visually diverse of locales due to being the first-ever zones made for the game during its day. Nevertheless, I do hope you'll get a kick out of our final photos in these lands.
