Its not as cool or flavorful but TFF needs to work like that draft / S6 does... the six shot stones are fixed to 6 cards in your deck at game start. You have to play them at quickdraw speed or you dont get it. He can keep the cool abilities and his base power like this but its infinitely more balanced no?

sanctum rules are bad because it favors boring decks when the cards you get are random and the appeal of the mode is supposed to be synergies and it makes it even more random when you get the busted synergies. it also favors the sweaty bots with their techslop decks that always curve out perfectly.Annd though i don't like giving him credit Jeff Hoogland is right that the real issue is they messed up the chance to pull specific synergies. you are far more likely to just get random shit that has nothing to do with your starter and especially makes destroy starters unplayable. the rng was already kinda feels-bad and they made it worse.

I think what's not working for me for this version of draft compared to the other is that I feel like I can't experiment and I'm more restricted. In old draft and some other modes, I'd often experiment around with different wacky card combos to see what does and doesn't work for that mode, and I just feel like I can't do that because some cards or card types simply don't work. While with old draft, it was about being handed the cards you're given, and dealing with it and trying to work around its limitations, or exploit its advantages. With sanctum draft it's just, its limitations are its limitations, you can't spend time experimenting because you have to be constantly capturing places for points so you're not left behind. This also makes Ramp pretty useless to select IMO because you simply can't waste time doing the set up to play the big cards or you'll be on 2 points and they'll be on 15 by the time you're ready.And then add onto the fact you have two lives and can only revive once. You just can't waste time having losses experimenting.

Is it just me or does Annihilus deck in Grand Arena suck? It feels like its missing things that make Annihilus decks work for me. Specifically it feels like it only works if you draw cards in a specific order.
