This game ruined my life; I neglected a six-year relationship with my fiancée, missed my grandfather's funeral, skipped my own graduation, had many of my belongings stolen, got fired from my dream job, and squandered the little money I had left on this game, buying power-ups for every fight.
I didn't even have money for a bottle of water; I had to drink from my neighbors' tap. Whenever they saw me doing it, I couldn't bear to look up—I was ashamed of myself. A man unwashed for weeks, malnourished, barely able to walk, drinking tap water from my neighbors' homes while they watched me with disappointment... I disgust myself.
And what was it all for?
All because I couldn't defeat Doctor Blowhole. Day after day, playing with hardly any rest, just to beat a fictional character in a fight.
Today, I finally managed to beat him—it was a satisfying moment, but at what cost?
