Is Pokémon the only competitive turn-based multiplayer game? Is there anything that compares that isn't a board game/tcg even if the scene is not as large as VGC?

yep there is a great power vacuum for this exact genre if ur gonna make a game and you are untalented and have no resources this is your sign to make a game in this genre
