I remember when "competition" grade components were the weakest and slowest ship parts in the entire game.Quantum drives specifically.

I haven't really been able to play much since the update because I keep trying to get on during maintenance, but from my limited experiences I do like engineering. I don't think it's fully baked, and lots of ships seem like they're going to need to be updated, and most of all ship weapon (and armor, and shield, and HP) balance is going to need serious attention, but the basics seem good to me and it will make for a more interesting game overall imo.

Servers are mostly unfucked now. Also, p8 ar(multiple) acquired. Thanks for the tips, anons. I asked about the berserker helmet locations in chat to help out that other anon, but I just got ethot bants responses.As for where I picked up the p8 ars, I did a blue card route in Ruin on the east side of the contested zone from entrance c. I needed a fuse to open a single door, but after that I was able to get a blue keycard and there were at least 6 open display weapon crates. No players

Bros, I've been getting addicted to contested zones. I've been ganked and ganked so much now trying to collect keycards. It started as getting the p8 ar, but now I kinda wanna see the executive hangar through. I've been seeing a lot of fuckers in the zones though, compared to what I was seeing before.What are your favorite pvp weapon loadouts?For me, I've hit a sweet spot with:

>f55 - 10 mags (for players)
>frags
>medgun
>2 fuses
>2 medgun refills
>knife
>handheld tractor beamI used to use smg's a lot but they always felt underpowered while burning through ammo. the f55 is really decent with the netcode sense it spews out 150 round mags.

I want to see some significant work done to comms and tactics.
We need a system that lets capital ships designate a commander and ships that can fly in formation on autopilot.
That way we can do fleet level mixed unit strategy, give orders, and coordinate repair/resupply/rearm at an organizational level.
Any capital ship should be able, plus maybe the Carrack and Drake equivalent but maybe not the 890J.

The only change they made to the Vanguard Warden since launch isn't making the ramp easier to open, not fixing the doors in general that like to randomly reopen but to make the fixed chin gun mount have a3 degree upwards canting and showing down the velocity of the M7A so landing the alpha shot is a tremendous pain in the ass .

Why is the ship weapon balance so all over the place? How do they weight the stats against one another to try and balance things internally, or is it just pure vibeshitters?The lightstrikes are fun, but what the FUCK is with their power consumption? They're almost impossible to feasibly use on most ships because they draw double what the K&W repeaters do. Omniskys seem all around ok for PVE. S4 and S5 ballistic options are really limited and the velocity falls off a cliff after the difficult to obtain Breaknecks. Revenants are ok. There are no good S5 ballistic options at all, all too slow.
