I think AH fucked up something with SC. If I pick some up at a POI, quit the game, restart and run the same map again the SC will be at the POI again when they used to disappear even if you quit and restarted after picking them up. I remember that this was how people used to farm SC way back when, but AH patched it out ages ago Anyone can be arsed to try it on their machine?

Shodan Enemy Editor is great and all but I still can't go one game without a dozen or so different players timing out. As host, I'm fine, but it's a crapshoot if other players stay in the lobby for any length of time and if I join an Enemy Editor lobby it's a crapshoot whether I time out or not as well.

Hot take: I like how unreliable stratagem bouncing can be, because it's a forceful reminder that you shouldn't take this game seriously. So what if your emplacement/sentry that you wanted to put on top of a ledge bounces down underneath and becomes 60% less useful? It doesn't break the game that one stratagem toss out of the 30 or so you make every mission doesn't land exactly where you want it. Just laugh it off and keep playing, it's not like the game is so hard that one misplaced stratagem will ruin 30 minutes of gameplay. Same for hellpood steering, so what if you land within 50 feet of your destination instead of 20? Just walk the rest of the way. Again, the game isn't so hard that one botched landing out of three or four is going to fuck you over entirely. And even if that one landing does end up causing you to die, guess what, you can try again immediately in a few seconds.

I had an idea to restructure the balance of the game down to nitty-gritty details such as increasing the variety of AP/AV for finer tuning of the relatively restrictive state of options for balancing; for example, creating in-between AP for every main AP level (2.5, 3.5, 4.5) that could penetrate their respective armors for full damage rather than suffer a 35% penalty, maybe as custom ammo types with downsides. Varied enemy spawns to allow for things such as Stalkers as semi-regular enemies whose spawns didn't rely on the existence of their nests. Unfortunate that since the EAC update that has become entirely impossible for official servers, so maybe I'll meddle with Hellforge.

Think I've hit the nail with the APW-geared MG from before. This thing plays like a support slot Breacher but for heavies and superheavies >damage just shy of the sightliner but a little over half its durable damage >300/450/600 RPM settings >half the mag size >same reload time as the vanilla HMG >can kill any medium in 2-3 hits or one well-placed shot >high vertical climb means continuous correction for auto fire >massively reduced spread and bullet speed I'm debating slashing its mag size down to 30 but then it would need one more mag to be relevant, possibly with 1 second less on the reload Using it with True Grit and it already demands I pick my fights with it so without it I'd imagine it really is a breakthrough tool Might boost its vertical recoil some more
