You know, after reaching 17K+ DP with my Elfnote deck (not trying to grind or anything but just to test my deck under harsh competitive conditions), I come to the conclusion that we need more good generic level 5 synchros.Accel Synchron can give you an immediate benefit, a multiple benefit even, but your hatred toward that card will increase every time you open with Jet Synchron glued to your hand when you are going second to the point you refuse to run that card again in your deck.Meanwhile, Hyper Librarian can offer a long-term benefit, but alone, that card is basically as good as a normal monster; it can't bait your opponent's handtraps like Accel Synchron, and it can't offer you a follow-up during your opponent's turn when they hit you with Fuwa like Accel Synchron, and the worst part? To enjoy those hypothetical long-term benefits requires you to go against someone who does not scoop even after seeing Elfnote's endboard + 6 cards in my hand, so yeah, against such opponent, I'm probably still going to lose anyway.

You can swap Evilswarm Nightmare with Ophion if you want to floodgate your opponent or run Kamael instead. I put in Rebellion and Requiem to get extra negates and OTK potential.
