I've seen some people say Link looks too detailed compared to other NPCs so he clashes as if he was from another game, another world if you must. But that's the thing, Link comes from another "world", if you compare him to Saria he looks the same as her, it's when he leaves the forest that his horizons expand, colors change, NPCs look way different, etc.
