So here is what I expect GSC will do between now and DLC 2 -We will get 2-3 major patches that add new story/quest content. Some of it may be pure random stuff(like the Hunter quest), some may be setting up the next DLC(like Stories Untold and Sealed Truths) -DLC 2 will feature Cold Island, as well as the hinted at expansions to Yaniv, Juptier, and Pripyat, adding in the missing areas there -DLC 2 will also probably feature the Corps as a major faction, since they're the last major group without a big role in the story -DLC2 story will probably be about the after effects of the 2nd Caribbean experiment causing issues across the northern parts of the Zone. The Corps get involved since that is they areas they protect.

The enhanced editions really should have been something more radical than mediocre graphical upgrades and engine updates that didn't make the games any more playable than they were. GSC should have gone full RMA on it. re-add all the cut content. Make unsuspecting normies who have no fucking idea what's going on go through the Darkscape sequence and the Dead City prison escape. Reactivate all the unused and unfinished weapons. Retroactively add the Tark/deer mutants, cats, Izloms, etc. Restore the entirety of the Sin faction and storyline and let us in on all the secret lore.

I still remember the first time I launched CoP. The very first quest asks you to find an artifact in some abandoned ship. And once you get it, a bunch of stalkers asks you to give the artifact to them to help their injured friend. I was always playing good person in games, so I gave them the artifact. And once I returned to the base I saw them sell the the artifact to the barkeeper. Holy fucking TECHNOLOGY. You had the choice with a fucking outcome, and it was not some cutscene, it was all played in real time. I was so impressed by that. Your shitty Clear Sky had nothing like that.

Been checking out STALZONE (formerly STALCRAFT) on good recommendation recently. It's quaint as a highly economical product, and feels like a charming work of genuine appreciation (at least on the level of a 'fan') for the source material; you can't give the benefit of the doubt for something like Arena Chinkout: Infinite being anything more than a brazen scam in the way that you, or at least I, could for STALZONE. You can tell exactly which aspects of the game got the most money diverted towards them during development, without the game feeling like an early-access foreverdev asset flip. I wish them success, hope they make a billion dollars off of 12 year olds buying Waffen-SS camouflage patterns for their stahlhelm exoskeleton niggas. ZOV but also No More Brother Wars

There were crossed out numbers written on the wall as if someone was bruteforcing the combination. Those numbers gave you the first 3 digits, and you had to bruteforce the last one, it's only 10 possible combinations. If that's the puzzle they have changed, then I am disappointed in stalker modern playerbase.

Got to the infamous "2 Amoks 1 Skif" fight people were talking about last night. I was only on Veteran but honestly didn't find it too bad considering the guy shooting at you isn't that accurate and doesn't do nearly as much damage as the amoks. Most annoying part was the random death pit which caused more deaths than anything from trying to space the notFleshpounds out.

To get this unique artifact from the arch anomaly you need >do a lengthy side quest that involves fighting a chimera and doing lots of platforming >then you must finish the whole DLC questline >then you need to find 4 artifacts in 4 different mini flare anomalies in 4 different places of CNPP and Iron Forest >after that you need to buy and upgrade a suit with 5 artifact slot >and only then you can even approach the flare archanomaly >you can't be exposed to flare anomaly for more than 10 seconds, you need to constantly seek cover >it fucking blinds you, and you can't see shit >and you need to do shitton of platforming while you can't see shit >the anomaly also features fake walls, fake floors, fake ladders >you also need to deal with regular anomalies (gravitational, electrical, etc) >and finally the artifact has 100 fake copies to confuse your detector

I think the DLC Mediator quest is bugged, if you choose the option to give the hostage to Duty the quest status does not update and just fails if you move away. I would assume if it's a dialogue option it should be reflected in the journal somehow.
