Still crazy how far we've come.Three and a half years ago, GPT-4 released. That slop-ridden, 8k (later 32k) context limited model was far beyond any other up until then in capability. Everyone who tried it went crazy. In the months after, a bunch of anons on /aicg/ started scraping the web for others' API keys to be able to use it. It set the standard for what to aspire to. For the rest of 2023 and well into 2024, all I could think about was "when do we get uncensored GPT-4 for an affordable price?"Now they could open source it, serve it for free, and nobody would give a single fuck about it except as a historical curiosity.

Anybody here actually get into the nitty gritty of worldbuilding/lorebooks and sampler settings, that kinda thing? I mainly work with SillyTavern and spend hours on lorebooks, testing to see what works and what doesn't. Biggest obstacle right now is finding a lightweight System Prompt that isn't a wall of word vomit. I've used stuff from different "expert" prompt creators, but they all hit some kind of wall with narrative or prose. I'd be more than willing to share the avatars, character cards, and lorebooks I've made. Even have a "chronicle" system based on summaries I get from Opus 5 on extra, works pretty damn good. Just want to see if other people have insights, I fucking hate discord.
