I kinda hate the side of the fanbase that despises the idea of William even being an allegory for a child predator, not even an actual predator. Just there being subtext that makes someone go "oh yeah you can read him as a metaphor for one". His whole gig for how he kills kids is straight out of John Wayne Gacy's book, dressing up as a cartoony character to put their guards down. Not just that but him abducting them by car too, that plus him taking away their autonomy by making them into robots and doing it again by shoving their souls in the Funtimes. Like at that point you don't even need to stretch it.
