I think that the worst part of learning this game is how arbitrary a lot of power scaling seems, from translating "boons" to actual stats to understanding investment breakpoints and soul splitting and how and why respawn times are what they are. So much of it seems too complicated for what it should be and I think it's a symptom of Valve having to turn a lot of weird knobs in order to get this weird genre/mechanics mash to try and balance.

Only have the forfeit be available if the enemy team has a i dunno 70-80k soul advantage or it's been at least 25-30 minutes already.
By that point that game has developed enough that it's pretty clear who is going to win if the game is going that poorly but it also stop early setbacks from causing babs from immediately giving up. Also gives a shot for that last hail mary push to try and get the comback.
Early forfeits should not be a thing though. Should never be a "fuck it we quit" but instead a gentlemans agreement that the game doesn't need to go on any longer.
