Been watching a relaxing let's play of vintage story and it's making me really want to pick up the game. I have watch a more "bombastic" series from a different guy who made the game look fun, but not all that appealing. Really thinking of getting it now. My other big worry is that I don't want to get into it, play it for a hundred hours, get my fill, then drop it forever before new content comes out. I want to play a completed game, if that makes sense. I don't necessarily mean a start to finish story-mode, but I mean everything that the creators want to put in the game mechanically speaking. I dont want to feel like I dont want to play it anymore when suddenly they add the esoteric practice of scuttlebug raising or whatever. Basically what I'm asking, is how far away is it from being considered a "finished" product by the game dev's standards themselves? Do they have something like a roadmap outlining how far they want to go and what mechanics they want to add? I know there already is alot and there's a ton of depth to the different parts of the game
>mining and metallurgy
>farming, ranching, orcharding, beeing, etc
>building in and of itself for the sake of building
All that stuff is good. But I want to see what else they have too. It could be a game that becomes one of my favorites and I put thousands of hours into.
I've never actually "beaten" minecraft btw
Every time I would build a base, explore a ton, start working on a huge project, get overwhelmed, get bored, then drop it.
