The difficulty spike on the final boss of Revenge of the Seven was so ridiculous it kinda soured the whole experience for me despite loving everything before that moment.

My favorites are RS2 and RS2:ROTS I recently replayed RS3 with Sara as my MC and a team focused on fusion magic. In the final fight I stacked buffs to deal massive damage with spells. Also replayed TLR, which isn't quite a SaGa game but it's close

I love Minstrel Song because it's the most complete version of a 'Saga game' Kawazu ever did. But Frontier 1, the RS games and Scarlet are all great. Best sandbox freeform JRPG franchise. I need to get some time to properly play Emerald soon.

RS1 SNES was one of the first ones I tried, but I really couldn't get into it. SF1 I finished Red's, Emilia's, and T260G's stories but that's about it. I tried playing SF2 but I couldn't get into it too and I feel like I'm doing something wrong. You're not supposed to grind and experiment with glints instead right? I could never get glints off and always felt random to me and I end up just mashing A to just kill things. It's starting to make me feel like a brainlet since I always see others do some crazy combos

I played SaGa Frontier 2 on PS1. That was my first SaGa game and is also my favorite one, along with Romancing SaGa 2. >inb4 the first game you play is always the best No. Eternia was my first Tales game and I fucking hate it. But back on topic...So far, I played and finished SaGa Frontier Remastered SaGa Frontier 2 OG and Remastered Romancing SaGa Remastered (I still have the International version to play) Romancing SaGa 2 Remastered Romancing SaGa 2 RotS Romancing SaGa 3 Remastered The Last Remnant OG and Remastered (if you count that)I played Scarlet Grace and Unlimited, but I dropped them because one of them was boring and the other one too complex for my caveman brain and now I'm hoping for a remaster because I'm too fucking lazy to download a PS2 emulator and ISO.

RS3 is my favourite so I am genuinely a lot more curious on how the remake is going to feel, I enjoyed 2's remake, but I wasn't a major fan of 2 in the first place. second place has to go to either minstrel saga or Scarlet grace, and I bounced of Scarlet twice before making it through.

I read a story online about how some longtime SaGa fan's daughter went into some cursed town in RS2:RotS and the player HAS to solve the problem before they leave it or else shit hits the fan. Unfortunately, the daughter did not know this, went back to the castle to grab some stuff she forgot and when she went back, everyone in the town was a ghost and she cried. It was funny.
