These games are a personality test. FF9 probably mean you like things straight forward and simple. In essence this is what FF9 is compared to FF6-7-8. It's a simple, easy to digest game. Well put together, very safe, charming and polished. Depending how you look at it and your priorities FF9 could be argued to be the best game Square has ever made but it also means you are kind of a very boring person that sticks to the rules, traditional. I personally didn't like it very much though but I can appreciate what it does.

No that just means your objective.7 is possibly the most overrated game of all time.
The story had neat bits but tons of extremely boring parts and its pretty much just held up with contrived "uh yeah dude I saw sepeiroth from a distance walking um thataway"
7 boss fights are just spam everything as fast possible
7 doesn't let you actually customize your characters locking out all fun materia until like the last 5% of the game. I sure hope you love casting bolt and cure for half of the game
8 is really bad and boring

Kinda same-ish though I don't really dislike 7.Its just that, everytime i tried to play the game I always lost interest after you get the buggy and get to the overworld. Maybe one if this days I'll get to finish it. I really like the orb thing you equip on your gear.FF8, I played it once, I immediately hate draw magic, the constant shift to Laguna(I don't give a shit who he is) and that last scene in disc one where Male Mc is falling after getting snow spear'd(?) and female MC goes NOOO! I s5opped playing on that part, I let that dude fall and die and that's the end of story in my head cannon.I like FF9, I replayed it a couple if times.
