Nintendo hates wasting engines and assets, so it will almost certainly reuse the engine and assets in this game for an original Zelda. I wouldn't be surprised if another Zelda game is being developed right alongside this one. Are you excited for the next original Zelda to look like this?

A brand new Zelda game is obviously in the works alongside the OoT remake. Question is really just if they're going to stop with OoT or do MM too.

Absolutely not lol, this game was made by a third party and probably heavily mandated, it looks like they reused the BotW running animation for Link in this game.

They're using BotW engine for this remake, so I think their strategy is the following >Do pre-production on "Zelda NX2" >Release outsourced remake on the BotW engine for Ocarina of Time on NX2 >Don't even change a FUCKING thing about the layouts/gameplay, and watch the criticism >Use criticism towards OoT done in BotW's engine into account for "Zelda NX2" >Create a hybrid Zelda that's part Open World and part OoT-clone This is the best scenario they can make. Avoid the bloat of TotK, create the same mysteriously large world feeling of BotW, the same freedom and exploration, but the same tightly designed dungeons, while figuring out how to square Classic Dungeon Design with Open Air gameplay. I've always imagined the room from TP's fire dungeon with the big cranes and enemy groups in it, where a BotW dungeon has that dome-like size, with high to the ceiling and far to the floor, but many ways to scale the area, while there's 2-3 puzzles inside it and you can just climb to, or fly seamlessly between them, or find the hidden path near the ceiling into the room instead of clearing out the enemies for a small key, and then most rooms in a dungeon has 2-3 possibilities for how to get from room to room, but the major puzzles like activating the waterwheels in Lakebed Temple are still mostly plot-locked puzzles... except if you have some player-invented way to make the wheel spin without doing the "official" solution you'll still get the same result. The player just has no way to raise the water level through emergent gameplay, so that's still its own progression, but everything else is open to player invention. If Nintendo just bothered they could pull it off. But I got the impression with the Divine Beasts and Temples in BotW/TotK that they didn't really bother.

>majora’s mask will be remade >twilight princess will be remade Nostalgia chads are eating good. I’d love an entirely new game with dungeons and the zelda formula that looks like this but I’ll take what I can get that isn’t botw shit.

Good, I hope they either do Majora's Mask or do a third game or do a counter Majora's Mask.
