I could see a soulslike gb-style zelda working, basically a zelda with less dungeons and more boss fights, but they went the path of making everything so fucking tedious. "Soulslike" just means tedious to these devs. They should have made normal mobs have way less HP and focus more on making exploration more interesting. Normal mobs don't take as many hits to down in the souls games as in this, where it's way more boring to fight them. And the maps are so bland.
Each stat point should feel like a big upgrade, but they're very weak increments.
