Snes pixel graphics are impressive and pleasing to look at when done well which is why Shovel Knight was just a joy, it really captured the feel of the best Snes games.However the shitass gameboy style Mina is going for was always only enjoyed by a niche amount of people as an inferior minimum hardware platform chosen out of utility rather than a love for the actual games, and the tiny ass format really doesn't allow for very impressive graphics nor music. I think this game is destined to have zero chance of living up to Shovel Knight's success even if it would have been very well made. Chosing the gameboy as the platform to emulate the style of was inherently a dumb decision.
