I get different things out of most CRPGs than I do out of JRPGs. I guess if I really thought hard on it I would categorize not by genre title but by Choose Your Own Adventure/Curated Linear Narrative.CYOA

What's the appeal of 2000 era RPGs?t. still playing Wizardry 6 on a regular basis, got repulsed by Baldur's Gate and never stayed with any games released after 2000 longer than a single afternoon
