Amphoreus has to be some of the worst writing I've ever seen in a gacha game. It had so much potential but its all over the place. It has repetitive storytelling, annoying puzzles, and has to be the strangest story on how it uses Stelle. Its like it wants her to be important but not at the same time. Its treated like a passenger along for the ride yet also the most important character. The story wants us to believe she's formed a deep bond with any of the characters once they die yet never once actually developed the relationships enough for us to care about them.Compare this to Genshin and how the game actually tries to form bonds between Lumine and the characters of each region before shit starts happening. Genshin's writing isn't spectacular but it does a better job at making the player believe there's an actual friendship forming between the characters and the MC. I think the biggest difference is that the characters tell Lumine their backstory while in HSR the characters tell the player their backstory. Aventurine and Acheron are good examples of this. Stelle has this heartfelt goodbye with Acheron yet she learns next to nothing about her because what little of her story was told was given to the player not Stelle herself. What makes all this even worse is the fact that HSR used to be good at that. In Belobog we got to learn about Hook with Stelle by Hook and the people close to her. The same with Bronya and Serval.I can get wanting other characters to shine but if you're not gonna have Stelle be the main character don't have her be THE main character in a story. She does nothing in Penacony that relates to Sunday so why is she the one taking him down. She does next to nothing for a large part of Amphoreus so why even have her around? Most of the Amphoreus stories have long ass flashbacks that don't even involve her half the time. Its like Stelle is just there as a reason for the story to be told rather than an actual part of the story.
