Way funnier than I thought it would be. I didn't expect that quick scene shortly after the credits sequence started of the cousin guy surviving. Got a laugh from me because of how absurd it was. Also way less horror focused than I expected it would be from the trailers. It's very action focused. The final act is pretty much a giant chase scene like in Mad Max. And the directing of the action sequences is all really good (minus the cheap CG).Anyone else seen Hope yet?

Korea bros, I just saw Hope and I honestly don't understand how something with so much money and backing made its way beyond a first draft, let alone to actual movie theaters. Surely they had to run it by someone first, right? There are so many questionable narrative/story issues, bizarre sequences and dialogue that I lost count. The first half hour or so was pretty good, if a bit cliche, but the best way I can describe the rest would be if I tried to explain filmmaking and epic alien invasion action mega movies to aliens themselves, who then used an early version of chat gpt and a bunch of drugs to make a script for 3 different movies which were then made with an unlimited budget, only to be cut into one long movie at the last minute. The final result is Hope. Jesus Christ.
