Sup /trv/ Going to be making my way down to Dallas for a few weeks before I move next year for work. Any spots to look for? Places people have visited or good spots for good events and such? Single guy, 100k/yr, no kids(that I know of lol), early 30's.
Looking at the international district for a place to live in close to things I need, going to be in office for 2-3 months setup then 1 day a week, and then remote with in office as needed. Boss doesn't care about traveling around the country but we have to set up our new HQ/Call center. Anyone live around there? Rent is pretty cheap from the looks of it, some decent bars around, and train station which is nice (car is on the way out). Any tips for visiting Texas to get a real feel for it?

Dallas is one of the most soulless shithole places I've ever been. These days it's likely even worse.

You should look for another job. Anyone who has ever been to Texas in the past decade has moved out within two years from shitty labor laws and layoffs.

>inb4 why not just leave your job and move kek
You know how absolutely balls hard it is to get an apartment without verified income? Even if where I wanted to go was my "fuck it we ball" shit the places all want a near 100% mark up+cosigner if I dare not have a 3x income job. Pay it in full up front? pfft nope better have a job. So it's sketchy long term hotels or prefurnished "apartments" where convicts live.I mean if a job is willing to pay you to move why not take it where it's no skin off your teeth or cash out of your pocket to do so? Must be nice living if you have people all over who would let you crash or randomly cosign for you in random city.

Oh also, it's possible to snow starting next week as the temps are to get below freezing which turns this place into a frozen hell for 4-7 months depending, Yeah man, it's reeeeaaaaally fun with the #1 thing to do is sit inside and stare. So many drug addicts form because people go into oil and can't handle the short days with frozen everything.>snow can be fun
Most people don't know this but the snow quickly becomes ice meaning you have snow with layers of ice on top, which gets snowed on and increases the ice. So you can't even really play in it or anything unless it's very fresh.also final (You)

Lol no, and I would take a mix of browns and asians who aren't suicidal levels of empathy to every cucked viewpoint possible so they can feel good. Nothing is worse than that, at least you know nogs and trash will remain in the shittier parts of towns.

Hows Denton, Rockland, or Granbury? If i had to stay in the triangle i've always considered those areas in particular. Not cookie cutter but not that out in the sticks anymore.
