Me and some friends are planning to road trip in Europe next summer. What are some good advice for us?

If you have EU citizenship you should use it to its full advantage: EU citizens can travel through all member states with no need for a visa. Europe also has a robust rail network linking major cities together so I'd strongly recommend checking out pass plans that suit your group.
Lastly, you can also hitch hike.
Road tripping with a car is probably the worst option available, even if you're traveling in a vehicle one of you owns because of the high oil prices.
