England has been in perpetual economic decline since the 70s. There's fuckall jobs there, especially outside of London. Unlike on the Continent "public" transportation in the UK is privatized which means it's utter shite. Just ask the locals. Place is full of gammons who voted for Brexit and don't like immigrants. You'll get a chilly reception AT BEST. It's also an Orwellian nightmare. CCTV cameras on every corner and the government monitoring all your electronic communications should be nothing new to you but in addition they also arrest you for watching TV without a telly license. The inability to buy guns would send you into a spiraling depression.

UK is better for public transport than America, but that's not saying much. The downsides to England though can be a bit harrowing. >high taxes >lower median wages than the USA >mandatory health insurance taken out of your wages, not just something thats part of your tax bill >absolutely despotic police state even by American standards >shit weather >ridiculous rent and COL metrics and most importantly >no jobs Unless you're going to the UK with a professional designation (MD, PEng, red seal trade, etc.) you're better off staying in America or looking at Europe if you don't mind the taxes, have a job lined up and don't want abysmal weather and nanny state policing. Don't get me wrong, I do like parts of the U.K. especially Scotland but I'd never live there.

It's really bad. The USA is better in every way. Public transport is shit everywhere in the UK outside of London. The housing is ridiculously expensive (relative to tiny UK salaries), low quality, and small. You would find it to be a sick joke.The "culture" is being a really fucking small minded droog on benefits. The highest aspiration of most of the population is being, or having the personality of, a day time game show host.It's extremely over-regulated, which means job options are shit and the pay is shit.
