>Excuse me, Mr... Anon? The gentleman across the aisle is traveling with his son, and they’d like to sit together. Would you be willing to switch seats? Your new seat would be four rows back, in the middle.
Your response?

"Sorry but I am susceptible to sciatica during flights and can't be located in a middle seat."

I say no, I've had this happen to me before. Not my fault that you waited til the last second to pick your seat.

no, I paid extra for my seat selection. but if there's a first class seat available I could move there instead, or someone back there could swap with him.

Indians do this shit constantly. They just sit in my seat and point to their shitty spot a few rows back. Curryniggers should be banned from leaving their shithole country.

Never again.
Got offered a first class seat when I was in coach by a dude who wanted to sit by his gf. I was stoked about it. Got up there, sat next to some kind of pretty ~45 year old lady. After 30 seconds she gives me a sob story about her son in back who's afraid to fly and asks if I'll switch. Not gonna deny her and sit next to her the whole flight, especially when it was some guy who offered me the seat anyway, so I agree.
Walk back, passing the son expecting some ten or twelve year old. This "kid" is like 20. End up by smelly old people in the very back of the plane for the flight.

"I paid $200 to reserve my seat. Who's going to reimburse me?"
Plot twist: You didn't pay extra to reserve your seat, but they don't know that.

A bunch of schoolgirls in Tokyo were pointing at me and whispering. Honestly? I've never felt so validated. I am officially the definition of 'Kawaii'.

I don't mind switching as long as I don't lose out from it. For long haul that means economy plus aisle in a reclinable seat. No real preference about row, however. Happy to keep that standard or move up, but fuck you if you think I'll go down from there after paying for it.

Nobody where I'm from cares about assigned seats, people who do are assumed to be tourists or jeered at by children.Anywhere there are more people then staff is a social place, people make themselves at home, but nobody makes a shit. If you need someone in uniform ask you be polite you are like... not a good person.
