photo from the eiffel tower?>where to stay first timers, stay on the strip to experience it. returning visitors, avoid the strip cuz it’s a rip off >where to eat too many restaurants to pick from. figure out your budget and what kinda food you want and go from there >where to avoid for me, the strip and strip clubs >gambling info don’t gamble much. the time to gamble in vegas is long gone. play a hundred bucks of blackjack or make a sports bet and do other shit besides throw money away in casinos >comps info idk never chased comps >promos and specials las vegas advisor has a decent coupon book. also consider going during slow times like mon-weds, or in august and december >best pools circa has the best pool >best museums mob museum is fun and so is pinball museum >bars and nightclubs there is a bar every fifty steps. pick your poison whether you want a basic casino bar, non casino bar, piano lounge, fancy cocktails, speak easy, or whatever >free shit to do hike at red rocks, fremont street music, people watching, bellagio conservatory, idk i enjoy just walking around when it’s not super hot >concerts, sports, etc knights games are fun. ufc is fun but too expensive, even the womens basketball games are fun

>vegas >tips Go literally anywhere else unless you've never been and just *have* to cross it off the bucket list. Vegas post covid is >DUDE WEED LMAO >hotel fees up the ass for the bare minimum often non staffed check in or wait 30 minutes behind pedro, jamal, patel families all slob touristing it even in the nicer places cuz my benefits and dat klarna >food quality has dropped while prices have increased 30-100% enjoy your sysco slop >everything is now an app or online sign up for the interesting things some places will get you in if you walk up but surcharge >the shows have all changed >alcohol prices went full retard >buffets are all but gone yes I know they "exist" but they are just upper class golden corral now >gambling odds are better on polymarket or fucking gacha at this point >muh free drinks for gambling doe are gone or just 1/2 a shot per glass >taxi services somehow worse than ever >Airport SOMEHOW is even worse (I do not understand this they had a huge influx of cash during covid)Worst part is everything is just kept up with the bare minimum often there in name only and closed but still "there" so they can advertise it actually exists. There really isn't anything worth doing unless you tack on a few days to a show or company event you are going to and just want to see a few things. Like COVID and Weed just killed it, online gambling has made it so that there isn't any reason for it to come back; don't get me started on the water and new airport issue. If you have money fly to Macau, if you're in NA just go to anywhere gambling is legal now; hell I sure atlantic city is putting more effort into attracting people than fucking vegas is these days.

I’m an oldfag. I’ve been to Vegas around 40 times, prob 2/3 for work and 1/3 for fun. The only mention I have ever heard about Vegas being dead and >muh brown post COVID is on /trv/Vegas is an attraction for people all over earth. It’s a diverse place. It has always been a diverse place. Nothing has changed. If you’re a white trash chud racist, stay home. You won’t enjoy people from all over the planet having fun together in Vegas.

why is this board so anti-vegas? love vegasmy usual trip >land around 8pm fridsy >hotel by 9 >quick shower and change >hotel bar usually have a drink coupon or food & drink comp from poker and black jack >grab a couple drinks and a quick bite like tacos or pizza >poker room by 1030 >play until 2 or until i bust >bed by 2 saturday >wake up around 9 >hit up the pool for an hour >get my pasty ass some sun >get something good for early lunch like italian or asian dumplings >poker room by 1 >play for four hours >back to the room to shower and change again >walk the strip while looking up shows and concerts that night and popping into random bars >higher end dinner like lavo or steak >either do a show (if my fiancee comes) or try some table games or sportsbook >get drunk and gamble until midnight >fly out the next morning before 11am >home by 3pm sunday with some time to decompress before work monday my main advice: keep the trip short. dont nobody need to be in vegas more than 48 hours

At the end of COVID I was leaving the country, flying out of Vegas thought I'd spend a week there do some casual gambling. Having been there a few times so I knew prices, looked for hotels saw the outrageous resort fees, saw buffets shut down, outrageous prices for drinks and food everything I just stayed in mesquite for $40 a night and didn't even gamble I'm not a paypig I don't have to go. It's now for hardcore gambling addict, coomer loser rich fucks and foreigners, that's fine it was never required. You miss nothing by not going

Seasoned oldfag Vegasgoer here. For me it’s:>where to stay Circa is my favorite property in Vegas. Highly recommend. >where to eat Have one fine dining meal during your stay. Make the rest affordable but good eats >where to avoid I avoid walking off strip and I avoid walking too far in summer. I’m in my 40s. The risk of heatstroke is real when you’re walking 10,000 steps in 115 degree heat. >gambling info I’m a craps player. Do not play crapless craps. Look for the best odds in craps. The table will say “3x-4x-5x odds” or something like that. Look for the highest number. The best bet in Vegas is at the craps table called the Odds Bet after the point has been established. You can make a minimum wager on the pass line, then a larger wager for your Odds Bet. There is no house edge for the Odds Bet. It pays the true odds of rolling that number (winning) vs rolling a 7 (losing) >comps info Player’s cards are free. In my experience you need to be a middle to high level gambler to get value out of comps. The majority of Vegasgoers don’t gamble enough to worry about comps. If you’re a larger gambler (e.g. you bring $5,000 or more each trip and go more than once a year) then you should connect with a casino host. Hosts are a revelation once you reach that level. They can get you anything from free rooms to free show tickets and even pick you up from the airport in a limo. >promos and specials Not sure. I never hunt for deals like this. >best pools I’m partial to Circa. It’s huge. Giant tv to watch sports. Many beautiful women including the cocktail servers. >best museums Not into museums. I’d go to DC if I wanted museums. >bars and nightclubs Too many to list. As I mentioned I mostly play craps but I do enjoy the Mega Bar and Overhang Bar at Circa. I usually play $1 hands of Deuces Wild to get free drinks. >free shit to do I don’t seek out free stuff in Vegas but I do love the live music on Fremont. Dr Rock and Alter Ego are lots of fun

Go on weekdays, hotels tend to be cheaper. Also look week to week.BYOB.Whatever you drink plus some water will save you a good bit of money. One of biggest bangs for your buck is Top of the Strat. 26 bucks for insane views of the city.Gamble. Fuck it you’re in Vegas. Grab the free drink and roll the dice.

For me, it's Casino Royale.>right in the middle of the strip >clean, affordable rooms >no jewish resort feesIf you use your hotel as just a place to crash while you spend most of your time elsewhere, this is a great spot.

Only advice is do not play slotsI have a trust fund gamblefag buddy who invited me to vegas in 22. He had a fancy suite but paid for me to have a separate room and covered all our meals. He’s a super generous guy.He got an invite to a slot tournament. I didn’t know slot tournaments were a thing. He ended up winning. I watched part of it and had no fuckin idea what was going on kek. He was mid 30s, everyone else was boomers. The prize was $5000 in free slot play. You can’t just take the cash tho, you have to bet $5000 in slot spins before you can cash it out.So he plays big, between $25-$50 per spin and ends up cashing out for just over $900. I figured he’d lose a few hundred of the $5000 but he lost almost all of it before hitting the minimum amount wagered. I’d have been devastated if that was me, he didn’t give a fuck because he lost way more playing black jack and bacarrat the previous night

Any of you niggers ever been to atlantic city? I go to vegas at least once a year (already went in may) i got labor day week off and am trying to figure out what to do. I dont really wanna do vegas again immediately, i also recently bought a new truck and want to do a roadtrip innit and im on the east coast so atlantic city is like a 5h drive could be fun.Is it just like a smaller vegas? I like gambling and seeing shows and just taking in the vibe of the strip and fremont. Good fit? Or not really?Obviously not gonna spend the whole week in AC in the same way i wouldnt do a full week in vegas, couple days probably, then go somewhere elseThe main decision point though is if i wanna roadtrip north (plenty of things im familiar with, probably do 2-3 in maine, then nh then vt) or south (AC and then... idk)

>comps Derek Stevens’ casinos (Golden Gate-Circa-The D) have a fantastic comp program called Club One. I visit two or three times per year, usually bring $1500 to gamble. Sometimes more. Club One will give you comps for play but they also give promo dollars, like you’ll get a monthly offer food credit and free play, usually a couple hundred bucks each. It’s enough to get a nice meal for two at one of their steakhouses. I did not use any comps for two trips, now I have several hundred on my card and I’m not a big bettor at all. I play minimum limit table games, VP, and small sports bets. If you’re gambling bigger than me you should give them a shot. Much better comps than ceasers or mgm ever offered me

if youre a gambler you can get free rooms and waived resort fees through casino player clubs. might take a couple visits of playing at the same casino to build up points and comps. its worth it if youre a frequent vegas traveler. i havent paid for a room in years

Bauhaus nightclub in dtlv was my favorite part of my trip. I went Saturday night and there was no cover. Music was real techno. The crowd was nice and security even brought me water while I was dancing.Second favorite thing was riding a 50cc scooter around Vegas and the strip. Felt so good parking and getting around for cheap.

Luxor has their “all inclusive” deal right now, 330 for >2 nights (resort tower has the renovated rooms so you definitely want that one) >3 meals per day for 2 people from select restaurants including at Mandalay Bay, Excalibur and MGM Grand, this includes the Excalibur buffet for breakfast and lunch >1 beer or wine per person per meal >2 show tickets (Blue Man Group, Carrot Top or some male stripper shit) >2 roller coaster tickets >self parking >$25 free play credit for new members >all resort fees and other bullshit includedFor 330 this is a solid value in my opinion but Vegas is a burning hot piss stinking weed stinking hellhole right now. It could be fun if you bring your gf/wife and fuck a lot in between eating and drinking, the show and coaster give you some stuff to do but honestly Vegas sucks overall.

Coming late September. My girl loves Italian food, she would eat pasta every day if she could do it without getting fat. What's a great Italian restaurant? Willing to travel off strip if the food is worth it. Prefer to spend less than 100 bucks each

My biggest problem with all these point and loyalty things is i barely gamble or eat at the hotels i stay at; i just like.... shit and sleep there. I do the vast majority of my spending at whatever random casinos im seeing shows at in the form of pre/post show gambling and dining.

And the reason I use housing pricing is because that usually is fairly relative to apartment prices. I'm guessing it's far more fucked than PHX, where when I moved out a nice area was ~1250/mo for a place with onsite pool/gym/secure mail lockers/etc.

When plane tickets were cheap my wife and I went to Vegas twice a year. Typically we’d fly in early Friday morning and take a taxi to Ellis island to get breakfast and gamble a bit until noon or so then head downtown to plaza since they can get you checked in anytime after noon. Drop bags off, shower and fuck and crash until dinner time. Then we’d go get dinner at Oscar’s or Andiamo and then gamble all night usually at 4 queens. Get back to the room 2-3 am and crash until mid morning.Saturday is a quick bite to eat and then down to el Cortez for more gambling. Saturday dinner is always at Top of Binions. True old-school steakhouse and a view that can’t be beat.Sunday up early to catch flight home.
