My gear that makes my life much easier: -fork spoon combo -rubber bands to compress clothing -airtag for checked luggage(doesn't use lithium battery) -2 phones -all devices using USB-c simplified so much -reusable large bag(makes laundry, shopping, etc easier) -blackout mask -Melatonin(because fuck some countries not having this) -throw away spare pair of shoes -multivitamin -desk fan(no battery so easy to put in checked) -USB C monitor -mouse pad(fuck glass desks in asia) -plastic travel cup and mini-ice tray(why does europe never have ice available in hotels or some LIDL's Aldis???)

Ive been using them 5 years straight almost 2000 days and they are just starting to wear out. One for clothes, one for toiletries and one for vitamins and medicine .

I'm going to Rome soon. Will be doing blatant normalfag tourist things at peak times and taking packed public transport. Mildly concerned about pickpockets. Hotel looks like a bit of a shithole so I'm not gonna trust their safe either.In the past I've worn a lanyard/neck pouch thing for my passport and other essentials, which felt secure but also got very uncomfortable after a while. Thinking about a sling/crossbody style bag like picrel, and/or a money belt. Any recommendations?

This kind of messenger/shoulder bag is so useful Not as bulky as a backpack, doesn't make my back sweaty, but can still fit my water bottle, camera, and other random shit I pick up

For longer trips I use a Rothco Canvas bag ($45) which is just a black seabag for anyone who was also in the military. It's durable and a piece of shit and has a 89.6L carrying capacity which is why I use it. Only as a checked bag of course. I can put whatever in there granted I have it stored properly (packing cubes, bags, etc.) and be fine. Only thing is it can be a bitch to carry but for how versatile it is I don't mind.For my carryon I am currently using a Dejuno schoolbag I got for very cheap ($13 in Okinawa). It has seen me through several months of travelling throughout SEA. Granted it has some holes and is probably due for a replacement but for the value, it has been great.As far as packing cubes I have been using the iFly 3 pack I got from Walmart for like $20 last year. They're fine but the size one burst and I will have to replace it. They're good quality but I just overloaded it so it's my fault. I recently purchased a BAGAIL 6 set for packing cubes as I'm planning to move abroad again so I'll see how that goes. I also have 3 small packing cubes for toiletries and such I purchased from Walmart but they're unbranded. Got them for around $10. All in all these were very good purchases that totaled me only $88 total. Some of you guys really over complicate your setups.
