There's pros and cons to both. Having visited Europe and lived in Japan. I'll explain why America is alright. The weather is irrelevant. I get in my car and drive with the A/C or heat on and don't get wet if it's raining. I live in the South and don't need anything bigger than a hoodie or a jacket. Don't have to wait on trains, don't have to worry about the train being delayed, don't have to squeeze in to a full traincar. Don't have to run up and down multiple stairs to catch the next train. I just get in my car and get where I want when I want. Traffic jams are usually avoidable in my city. Having a big backyard is nice because I can let my kids or dogs play in it and not have to worry about taking them anywhere unless I want to. That said, walkable communities exist in the U.S. they're for the vast majority very dirty and crime-ridden. This was the result of 60 years of govt planning and social engineering btw. They apparently like it this way. I've lived in a city center in the U.S. in my early 20's and it's not a place for families. Europe is apparently in a hurry to make their cities the same way. Munich was probably the best in Germany i visited though.

Everything in the US is better, niggers live better than law abiding gayropoors. It's more expensive to live in Gayrope when you adjust everything by COL. Every hick in fly-over states has money to go on yearly trips abroad due to American salaries and buying power. And US is getting sabotaged with bad immigration policies and said nigger problem. Europe barely has that besides maybe UK and Western European capitals, everything else is white and still fucked due to commie state laws. When someone says US should get rid of some shitty thing Europeans have taken care of on paper, it would skyrocket US living standards even more and we would have to make up even more excuses and copes to hate on US. No rich person lives in commie blocks, nor goes to le old city square- they do actually live in our version of gated suburbs, just more cheaply built. If you've been to Munich you see how dystopian Europe is and its a window into the future.Yes there are sidewalk restaurants and cafes. They are full of German boomers. Like 95% boomers and a few younger people. Those walking past are 60% rapefugee types from around the world. Walk to the train station homeless encampment or just subhumans milling about, parks the same , busses the same. Its bad now but gonna be grim in 10 years. All the cafes will shut down. to be fair, they're in Munich even in the inner city which by any standards is one of the most livable / nicest cities in the worldpersonally I find it a bit boring to visit but for living, it's absolutely peak city If I had the money I'd immediately move to a house in HerzogparkMunich is shit though if you're poor and dependent on the notorious "Stammstrecke" (main light rail lines) or long car commutes (which most of the people living there are...)

Millennials and younger gen X moved to walkable areas and after a couple decades of gentrifying, the blacks got pushed out enough to create safe downtowns in cities. Now boomers notices and they're all flooding them for retirement, once again pushing millennials back out to suburbia or into shittier neighborhoods.

its all a bit "grass is greener" and it works both ways. Americans go to the scenic places in Europe, live in luxury because they saved for the trip, walking is a novelty to them, zero stress.
