How do you meet people abroad? I go to the skatepark, start shooting the shit with folks, buy some beers and then they eventually take me out to the bar or to their moms house for more drinking, I have no idea how I would meet folks if it weren't for skateparks.

Is it fine if i get someone to buy me a plane ticket in another country where it's cheaper? Are the airlines/travel agencies gonna get uppity about the passport's nationality not matching where the flight was purchased?Example: I live in Calgary, I want to go to Cairo, it's cheaper in the US on Expedia, I get my friend in the US to buy me a ticket that shows up on Expedia US that's cheaper than I would get it in Expedia Canada

Should I go to Montreal this Thanksgiving?For context, I'm American and I'll have 4 full days off for the holiday. Not long enough to be worth flying to Europe, but I also don't feel like going anywhere in the states during this time. That really only leaves Canada, where the closest city is Montreal, a 7 hour drive from me.
Could be cool to experience since I've never been, and an opportunity to practice my French, but I just don't know if it's worth the 7 hours drive. Honestly it looks kinda boring desu, like any generic North American city, and none of the tourist attractions seem that compelling. It seems all the cool stuff is in Quebec City, but that's even farther and way out of the question, even as a day trip.
I could just stay home and save a bit more for my trip to Europe in December, but I'd also kinda feel like a sucker for not taking the opportunity to travel more.

How old is too old to travel for partying?
I'm 26 and I never really did much clubbing or partying in my life, and when I did it was usually pretty awkward. Now I have massive FOMO. I just want to experience some normal "young person who parties" experiences in my life while I still can, but I'm afraid people will look at me weird for not being a student.

I'm from the U.S., considering taking a trip to the U.K. to see some shows from one of my favorite bands that will probably never tour in the U.S. I'm trying to make it as cheap as possible to justify spending close to $1k on the flight and tickets alone just to go see some music. They have 5 dates in Britain and if it were in the U.S. I'd rent a car and sleep in it while following the band around, but I have no idea how much (if at all) British police would care about me doing this.I'd be going to London, Bristol, Glasgow, Birmingham, and Manchester. Could I in theory rent a car and find some quiet spot on the way to the next city to park and sleep after the shows?

I'm terribad at sleeping in flights. I'll be flying from central Europe to Nippon in a few months which will be my first time travelling so long (bit above 20h w/ layovers). Overall about 24h, a bit more in transit. Arriving in the late evening in both directions.Question is, is pulling an "all-nighter" and crashing after arrival a good way to quickly offset jet-lag or am I better off somehow getting good at sleeping in flights and adjusting after?

I have a question. I'm just starting to travel to scout out a more rural place to move to. Mexicans, City People, and Jews have completely ruined my home turf. Nothing can be done about it and I just have to get out while I still can.So why are the hotel and motel prices fake on Google Maps, and what is going to be the most efficient way for me to scout out where to stay when I go places? Calling every single place near a destination sounds like a real pain in the ass, but I also do not need endless fucking junk mail pertaining to travel, so I probably don't want to sign up for any hotel sites.So yeah, what's the move?

Where can I find land and set up a yurt unnoticed? Rent and real estate is for cucks, living off the land is true living, I'm not paying someone for the right to live. I think many empty land exists around northern nordic areas. I'm already citizen and resident in eu schengen. I'd just disappear there until death.
