British type G is peak, used in Singapore, HK, Malaysia. Absolute best.
The aussie pacific type I, used in parts of south america and China is close second place

I have this identical adapter bought for 10 ringgit in Malaysia and it never falls out of my outlet. I can even dangle my entire laptop charger off it. However, once my adapter has been inside a plug, yours will be too loose. Heh heh.

When I visited India, I saw Type G and Type D the most. They're so wildly different from each other that purchasing appliances must be a pain in the ass over there. To add to the chaos, they also use devices with Type C plugs, despite not having Type C sockets.They plug their Type C devices by forcefully jamming them into Type D sockets. Their shape is similar. "Similar" being the key word here, they are not 1:1 identical. The prongs of a Type C plug are spaced slightly more narrow than a Type D. I've seen Type C plugs with cracks in the housing, or prongs that are bent outwards.

What I found odd about these universal adapters is that the EU plugs on these things are often fully metal and rigid, while devices sold in the EU have plugs that are partially insulated and even flexible. What's with that?

Oh hey, I just realized that the European plug on my adapter is insulated. So even cheap no-name stuff from China gets design updates.
