Has anyone ever hired a car and completed a road trip through this region? the countries I am referring to would be
>Jordan
>Saudi Arabia
>Kuwait
>Bahrain
>Qatar
>UAE
>Oman
Looking to stay away from anywhere war-torn and corruptive for now. I imagine there would be a lot of beautiful desert driving on this route? and the price of hiring a vehicle hopefully wouldn't be crazy expensive. I guess my questions are
>Is it even worth it
>Would it break the bank
>How safe is it?
>Would I even see much
>Would finding accomodation be difficult in rural areas?
>Is a car even the best way to get around these parts

great trip, particularly oman and southwest saudi and only retards would say otherwise, but hiring a car from a place that would allow you to take it across all the borders would be nearly impossible. lots of borders here don't even allow rented cars to cross, and the ones that do require a separate certificate from the rental company. so you would need one for each place, which becomes more and more difficult once you're already out of the first country. anything traffic related is a fucking headache here. you'd be better off buying a shitbox car outright, transferring your license to one from a GCC country, and doing it that way.

Have you checked the GCC tourist visa? Apparently it's launching late 2025.https://gccvisa.com/Apparently it's a combined visa for the gulf states which turns the region into Schengen. I BELIEVE it applies to rentals, too, in that your rental will be tied to your cross-border visa.The aim is to get foreigners staying longer in the region and visiting multiple countries at once. I guess they want to somehow tap into some type of backpacking market for younger people.
