Good-morning anon,I've been to the city a couple weeks ago for a few days. Krakow became one of my favourite cities in Europe, it has some great day trips (Wieliczka salt mine, Auschwitz, Energielandia) and more interesting niches such are the army and aviation museums, or the arcade in the east of the city. You can get to Energielandia either by the park's dedicated shuttle bus (I believe the fare I 4-6 Euro return, but don't quote me on that). I took it though as the return is at 20:00 and I had a splitting headache, I walked to the train station (20 min. walk from the park) and went back to Krakow at 18:00. I love theme parks and Energielandia is great, Zadra is obviously the highlight. Hyperion is great and rides very smooth. Mayan is a generic SLC albeit a very smooth one. Formula is meh, Abyssus is essentially Formula but fun.Wieliczka salt mines were great though I went early in the day, I hear it gets very busy and it certainly seemed that way around mid-day. Wieliczka itself is like a nice suburb of Krakow with its own little square. There's a salt graduation tower that you can get a ticket for which is cheap and is worth the experience, in my opinion.Auschwitz is fun, its spread over two sites (Auschwitz I and what is essentially the extension, Birkenau). You arrive get a guided tour (you're only allowed tours, you don't get to roam free) and take a shuttle from the tourist centre to Birkenau and back.I additionally walked around the town, went to Wawel (its more an uphill area you walk into), its worth paying for the Cathedral visit if you're interested in history. I've never seen so many national heroes entombed in one place, there's also a sculpture of a fire-breathing dragon nearby. Walking around the Vistula itself is pretty fun and you can come across a concert venue, a small amusement park and a bunch of decent coffee houses, milk bars and restaurants during that walk.
