hello /toy/, I'm asking for your help to find an old toy I had.
It was:
- a brick toy robot
- NOT Lego, and the parts are not interchangeable with Lego (they were slightly bigger, the pegs were a lot taller)
- it came in a round bucket, red one with a removable top and a tilting handle.
- the robots head was just a very large transparent plexi dome, the glass was curved in the front and flat on all other sides. There was a pilot inside, it looked like a lego minifig with its torso and head only.
- the robots limbs were connected by ball joints. one for each leg, one for each shoulder, and one for each elbow. so, pretty flexible, considering (well, it could point at things). The part holding the ball joint had a cut-out at both opposing sides at 180 degrees, so the robot could tilt its arms a lot more when tilting into that cut-out.
- the robot had a fairly bulky torso, with a chest plate, 4 red rockets below the plate, and 8 grey round pegs below the rockets which kind of looked like abs but wide.
- the robot head was on a tilt-forward joint but blocked by the chest plate. With the plate removed, it could tilt its head forward/down 90 degrees.
- one "hand" had two pincers, the other one had 2 long rifle barrels (like a scifi laser cannon)
- there was a third laser cannon mounted on the torso, above the shoulder. Identical parts as the one on the hand.
- the legs used the arm pincer parts for the "feet" and some kind of curved plate on the legs, imagine if you divided a ball into 8 parts and that's what that curved plate looked like.
- the robot base was red and the "armor" was black and yellow. It was symmetrical, outside the arms and the shoulder cannon (which you could still put on any arm/shoulder).
Timeline is early 90s (1992-3 or so at most, maybe late 80s), but for all I know it may be some random chinese thing because we had a lot of those at the time. Already tried googling for brick toys from the era but got nothing.

the robot in question.would've been nice to find a detailed gallery of it. but at least now I know what toy it was.

Had a bunch of those as a kid and while the balljoints weren't the tightest (that stuff came out like what, 15 years before Slizer/Throwbots?) the overall plastic quality was actually insanely good, like genuinely leagues above shit like Best-Lock or whatever LeLe, Lepin or DongChangPingPong knockoff came later.
