I got this, it's based on a captive spring as a screw driving a peg you can stick in any matchbox. But what cool knock offs are likely to fit? I have a 3d plastic pen but my printer lived it's life and like we parted ways.
What other Speedway sets, interchangable or stand alone do you like?
RC racing on a shop track somewhere?
What are you burning laps on anon?

I had to look this up to see what you meant.

So it turns the entire spring? Kek seems like a lot of energy but hey, it works pretty good. I assume it's loud.

I wish, the nearest RC track is nearly 3 hours away and they don't want 1/8 scale cars on them, I started building track on my property but gave up, too much work to do alone and without a tractor to cart all the dirt around

https://www.thevillagesrccarclub.com/This is an indy club that seems to have formed up. If you have the space you can divy up like track manager, lights and electric stuff, computer duty...
Then pick your club night schedule and begin contacting other clubs for like formal visits and racing. It's that easy (on the internet in text).

This was mine. There was a better one from the same company but I was perfectly happy with this.
And you can always search out the interchangable ones if you get a few of them... or I guess you could leave it all in a box and charge someone 3x the price in 10 years lol.

bros... I took the vac forming pill.
I'm in love with this. I'm making slot car bodies when I get a little better but I could legit cast with some clay like this. Lexan the toy, make a clay model. Make a negative mold. Pour in metal.
Might be shitty but it might work.

This was "painted" with thick permanent marker, one of those silver paint pens, and idk what the brown glue was. I cleaned it today. It's a lexan slot car body.

With these controllers, normall 7-10 band is stock. This one is made with 17 and sensitivity knob along with "brake" amount (when you let off the trigger the current is flipped and the motor uses "reverse" to brake around turns.
30-band is the real expensive smooth one, beginning at $240 or so.

I'm probably one of the very few people who even remember that Hot Wheels tried to get into hobby level kit car racing with the K.I.T Racing toyline similar to Mini 4WD but 1/64 scale. Apparently these were imported from either Takara or Tomy (this was before their merger). Very short-lived but the original Japanese version Tomica Bit Racer apparently continued on for a few yeasr.
I had good memories with this set but I only had the one car that was included in the track set (pic-related) and my dumbass young self destroyed the car with ease because it was a bit fragile and ended up with nothing to race with.

Did anyone have a boat that could move as a kid? I dreamed of getting one but never did.
I think closest I got was putting a friends gi joe boat in the water with a sail lol.

I'll cut the body tomorrow, maybe on the low side. Position is up to the racer, in slot cars the aerodynamics are kinda negligible aside from spoilers/wings.
