They really shouldnt have bothered making the last three films. Nostalgia for the original trilogy paired with the 30th anniversary would have been more than enough to carry the "franchise" for another 30 years at minimum. That said alot of the stuff they've been putting out lately's been really nice. Do you have any thoughts on the blokees stuff? Did you like the chromed 30th anniversary Buzz? Thoughts on the Play Scale line? Personally I'm really tempted by them. That size just suits the designs so well, and I've never been fond of hard plastic Woodys.

My guess is that it makes him seem more cocky/confident like how he's portrayed in the movies. Like in the Key Art used for the Toy Story and Beyond line, if he had the movie face it might've been harder to sell. I kinda wish the Signature Collection had a more movie accurate face, as its supposedly based off the real CGI models used in the movies.

Ill never understand why Disney and Hasbro never have come together for a true accurate Mr. Potato Head. This new set arrives tomorrow (fucking finally, took nearly 2 months to release), and while its not super entirely accurate, this is their best effort in terms of the regular toy line.On the topic of other toys, I really want to get Buzz and Woody at least. Disney Store has some really neat ones but their faces dont look right, despite Disney Store buzz having the most accurate featureset. I dont know if its worth the risk trying to chase down a collection buzz and woody as I know a lot of fakes are put there, though admittedly that Woody is kind of a white whale for me.

All this talk about the various Buzzes, but no one talks about the superior SHF from the shit movie. Toy Story Buzz is always expected to have everything, like the pop out wings and even the shooting pose capability. But ive only grown to distrust anything involving his screen accurate bulky torso

I got this guy in 2000 from a McDonald's. One of the best toys I ever had. I was very happy and fortunate to get him. Only the arms move, and the little chest button used to make some sort of sound but that's not been the case for a long time. Going to fix that soon.

Potato head anon here. Been wanting a good woody doll, was looking around at stores and shit and theres just nothing. Closest is the poseable disney store one and it looks wrong. The best one ever was the collection version, and if I get one id want to customize it and make it look more accurate. Looked into the bootleg Woody dolls based on the signature line and they are nearly identical aside from worse quality assurance. Figured 40 bucks for one to customize and make movie accurate vs 400 was a better deal, and id feel less bad swapping out the voice box, head, etc. Also the hat doesnt have the stupid holes in the back like the authentic one does. Idk, this is a picture of one and it looks pretty close, will report back if its shit quality or not, free returns so if I just hate it I'll send it back.
