There's a double layer of retardation happening here. If its a simple dnd then fighting man is already all you need. If its a complex dnd then there is for sure a splat or prestige class or whatever for this you can include. and then there's both so excited to prove they know so much everything is impossible for them, when it just reveals they've never considered that at some point or another a horse mounted plains warrior did indeed dismount and fight on foot yet didn't metaphysically change into a different sort of warrior. pathfinder 1e has Cavalier which is like an inbetween of fighter and paladin with more flexible alignment; they get to issue Challenges to specific opponents that are weaker than Smite Evil but don't have alignment restriction and get bonuses depending on what Cavalier Order you're part of (Cossacks would probably be Order of the Cockatrice since they get bonuses to being flamboyant arrogant braggarts) , don't get fighter feats and weapon/armor specialization but get a full progression mount animal companion, and their other gimmick that's actually really strong with coordination is getting free Teamwork feats and the ability to share Teamwork feats with all allies in range even if they don't meet the requirements, which means you can buff the entire party and all animal companions/summons/etc with shit like Outflank and Escape Route doubling flanking bonuses and making everyone immune to attacks of opportunity as long as an ally is nearbyhttps://www.aonprd.com/ClassDisplay.aspx?ItemName=CavalierActually a pretty fun class overall
