Finally had my first 2000pts game after playing loads of 1000pts. The bigger board instantly makes more longer range options desirable, and i think flank deployment stuff like Six Pool and Proxy Barracks are pretty much mandatory.

I am impressed with the model quality but its still a dead game. Also the plastic is so fucking hard and durable it dulled my clippers meant for metal when I tried to cut sprues into bits for testing paints on. What the fuck is this shit, the fabled hemp plastic stronger than steel?

does anyone know if the starter sets are going to be like limited release or limited quantity or something like GW fomo boxes or are they going to be a perpetual product?interested in getting into the game, it looks amazing and the prices are pretty good too which is surprising. but i've been burned so much by GW fomo and scalpers botting orders and their shit manufacturing just being out of stock for months or years, idk how on the ball i need to be about snagging a box or if i can afford to wait a bit

I was thinking about how they can add some of my fav units to the game. Some are obvious, like Aberrations, but the more I thought about it the more I realised I can't think of an accurate way to represent the Swarm Host in the game. If it just spawns new, weak Locust models every single turn it'll be OP as it'll let you flood the board with infinite Locust and simply calling its ranged attack "Locust Swarm" or something is lazy and boring. How would you handle the Swarm Host?

I'm finding it hard to justifiy Corpser Roaches over Vile Roaches. Roachlings aren't worth doing anything with, and the Corpser is worse at range but better in melee, even though the Zerg have plenty of melee and NEED more ranged units on the table. I've found Vile Roaches are just better and cheaper. Anons?

The more I look at it the more I hate the Stalker design. It's not a dragoon with an injured guy inside but rather some kind of magic machine infused with soulstuff which is just dumb. The head sticking out, the whole teleporting thing, the stupid laser beam, I hate everything about it. Someone got high and said how about we give Protoss Dragoons again, but they are the dark templar now and came up with this nonsense. It's so dumb and I've come to hate it over the last 15 years.
